Since I was unable to attend the gallery showing on Tuesday, I wanted to include more objects within my project that I might not have been able to at the gallery. While I wasn't able to use a mac to use VDMX, I was able to download Mad mapper on my windows computer and found more ways to make the projection mapping interesting. I used my room as the background for the project and used my dresser as the main piece. I included multiple objects such as a penguin, giraffe, bear, and Baymax toy to help add more to the piece. The overall piece is formed like a caste system or a cycle of life. At the very top shows a deity of sorts that represents space as well as something that is all powerful and knowing. Below is earth and depicting the different aspects within the world. The multiple figures represent each of these such as the giraffe representing the jungle, the penguin representing the artic, the bear representing the forest/parks, and Baymax representing society as well as technological improvement throughout the centuries. The bottom shows the element in life that is universal no matter what, death. The ground shows the end of every being life and the continuation of life leading to the top. This project was really fun to explore and try something that I never have heard of before. While not having VDMX was a huge disadvantage, I was still able to come up with something that I personally thought was great and tried to make it as unique as possible.
