For the first project, using blender to create a fish bowl and a moving fish turned out to be more of a challenge than expected. I've never used blender before so figuring out each of the small detail that would make up the end product turned out to much more of a process than working in Photoshop or Premiere. The aspects that I enjoyed from working in blender were the sculpting of the fish and the texturing of all the different object. Each object had its own unique look to them which made modeling and texturing them very fun. The volcano would have a more rugged and worn down look opposed to the fish that seemed to be more silky and fleshy. It was also interesting that each of the object could interesting reflects and bounce off the other objects that were put beside or near it. An example would be the light would reflect off one of the rocks and then that little amount of light would reflect upon the fish. Modeling the fish was interesting as well. I didn't want to copy the exact fish from the video and rather wanted one that suited more of my own artistic taste. I wanted it to be more of simple and regular shaped fish so it would be easier to work on the movement more. I used marron as it primary color around the body with a bright blue to contrast off of the marron. The most difficult aspects of the project were the animation, armature, and finished model of the fish. Trying to keep the original model of the fish while connecting it to the armature and animating it turned out to be much more difficult than expected. However, at the end of the day, I learned a lot from this project and found the new interest of using blender in more unique ways.
